PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE
BOARD OF TRUSTEES
VILLAGE OF CANASTOTA

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing will be held by the Board of Trustees of the Village of Canastota on the 18th day of March, 2026, at 7:15 p.m., or as soon thereafter as may be heard, in the courtroom at the Municipal Building, 205 S. Peterboro Street, Canastota, New York, to consider a proposed local law entitled, “A local law authorizing a property tax levy in excess of the limit established in General Municipal Law section 3-c for the 2026-2027 fiscal year.” This local law is intended to authorize the Village of Canastota to exceed the tax levy cap otherwise provided under New York State law for the Village’s 2026-2027 budget and fiscal year.

All interested persons will be heard on this matter at this date and time. A complete copy of the proposed local law is available for review at the office of the Village Clerk/Treasurer during the Clerk/Treasurer’s regular business hours.
