New swing at Spencer Street playground

Canastota, NY – You may have noticed a new piece of equipment at the Spencer Street Playground, adjacent to the Canastota Municipal Pool.

Thanks to a generous donation from Jim Marshall Farms of New Boston Street the playground now has a wheelchair-accessible swing. It was recently installed by the village Department of Public Works.

The playground and pool complex has received several upgrades over the past few years, including new playground equipment, paint, pavilions, sidewalks, picnic tables, a pool chair lift, security lighting, signage, and benches. These upgrades have been provided by the Village of Canastota, Town of Lenox, and CNY Children’s Foundation.

The Spencer Street Playground is open year-round from sunrise to 9:00 p.m.
