Lewis Street bridge replacement project

CANASTOTA, NY – The Town of Lenox will be undertaking a project to replace the Lewis Street bridge over the Canastota Creek.

The current bridge is coming to the end of its useful life and is in need of replacement. The Town has received a grant from New York State to assist with paying the costs.

Residents who would like more information on this project are invited to attend a public information meeting on Tuesday, April 21, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. in the courtroom of the Canastota-Lenox Municipal Building.

This is a Town of Lenox project. The Village of Canastota will pass along notices regarding this project to help keep Canastota residents informed. The project is currently is in the design phase and a start date and other details have not yet been announced.
